Sometimes the stars align and the magic happens. Mollie Patterson the England number 3 was the star attraction at our most recent Pingsters Club Night. Amanda pulled the strings and made it all happen in what transpired into an electric evening of pinging and ponging. Some rose to the challenge of taking on the young talent from Nottingham, however most of us couldn’t get close to her speed and accuracy but Harry McCarney somehow managed to get 11 points, (mostly nets and edges, ahem.). She was lucky enough to receive a Pingsters TTC shirt in all its blue and pink glory, a token from us to show our appreciation for her visiting us here at Pingsters Table Tennis Club of which she describes as ‘one of the friendliest table tennis clubs she’s been to.’ Mollie, we salute you. The question is, who’s going to be our next guest? I’m sure I’ve still got Desmond Douglas’ landline from that camp in Grantham in 1993!?
