Crowdfunder and New Venue

The Club has grown.

We are aiming to raise funds to buy approximately 8 Table Tennis Tables.   Currently we are in possession of 4 tables that are worn and significantly damaged, these are over 30 years old.    New tables will allow us to provide fantastic playing conditions in what will be a larger venue than our current one. It will also result in a dramatic increase in membership as we will be able to accommodate more players with more tables. Our membership currently stands at over 50 players from diverse backgrounds. We have 3 wheelchair users, all ages and cultural backgrounds. Unfortunately because we don’t have a larger venue and more tables, we are very limited.  We have secured a new home for the club as of April 2026.  The Performing Arts Centre at Durrington High School in Worthing has an incredible facility for Table Tennis.  We will be able to accomodate 8-10 tables therefore enabling us to offer more people the opportunity to play. It will also feature a full lighting rig which will provide incredible illumination for club and competition, air conditioning and a viewing platform.   The club is run by a small group of passionate volunteers. We have no employees.  We are a non profit, community/voluntary organisation.  We currently have a very affordable subscription rate., just £6 per 2 hour session.  No annual membership costs.  This makes Pingsters TTC a cheap and easy way to play table tennis with a group of like minded individuals.  The financial climate is challenging, we want to make Pingsters TTC as affordable as possible.  The club has been running for just over a year now, membership and demand is stronger than what we can currently provide. We therefore anticipate our club being a permanent fixture in the local area, hopefully for many years to come.

We currently have an active Crowdfunding Campaign which expires at the end of February.  We have received a Grant from Sport England for £2500.  This will be actioned and drop into our crowdfunder once we match their pledge.  As it stands we have raised approximately £1600.  Therefore we are £900 away from receiving the Sport England Award.  Once we achieve this we will have £5000 to put towards new tables.  We hope to purchase 8 new tables. Any help would be greatly appreciated.  You can donate here.
