Well that came around quickly. The end of summer break is almost upon us which therefore means that our squad of Pingsters will don the camouflage, instill the ponging rage and ultimately bring more silverware to our little club of table tennis enthusiasts. Last season saw our one and only team steamroll their last few opponents to bring fame and glory, we became Division 1 Champions against the odds-yes we conquered. This year we will throw three teams into the field, quite a remarkable and exponential period of growth the last twelve months have been. We have built a club that attracts players who not only love this silly little game but additionally appreciate the club’s community feeling. That is fundamentally the thing. Yes we want to be successful, but the overriding factor is embracing what sport can do for our mental and physical health, whilst bringing an increasingly isolated society together in one commonality.
