Our follow up to Part 1 of the Pingsters Closed Championships is nearly upon us. Has it really been a full earth’s orbit of the sun since our first festival of Pingsters Table Tennis Club? Pedro Santos (Professor Topspin) will be looking to defend his Open Singles Title after piping Kris The Pipslinger Pokorowski last year. Last year the auspicious event featured a league, round-robin format. We are in discussions as to the format of this year’s tournament. We like to keep things innovative at Pingsters so stay tuned for more information. Despite the formalities this year’s event will no doubt rise to the highlight of every Pingster’s social and sporting calendar. 17th May 2026 will be the day. TBC. We will of course be in our new venue at Durrington High School with an increased competitor capacity, brand new tables, scoring machines and of course a viewing platform to take in the day’s best top spins and most awkward pimple action. Thanks again to Sport England and The National Lottery Players to enable us to stage an event that is sure to be a great day of Ping Pong.
